Hand drawn, frame-by-frame animation loop with minimal sound and movement.

“This work is based on a childhood memory of being in a forest in Australia, where there was an abandoned house. My young imagination was stirred into believing the house was haunted and there were all kinds of mythical creatures hiding in the shadows. With this animation, I use repetition and minimal motion to create work that is reminiscent of a cinemagraph - a photo with subtle movement. I also make use of fairy tale tropes and ambient sounds to help spark the viewer's imagination, as mine was in that forest. ”
