'Under Pressure' is a series of cracked, abstract paintings representing the earth and reflecting humanity's continuous negative impacts. Additionally, the pigments were mixed with a flour-like ingredient, glutinous rice, which once dry, created the cracked effect. The result of the mixture with earth-based ingredient for cooking and plastic-based chemically produced paints expresses the imperfect, fragmented relationship between humanity and nature. Unlike previous mental health based works, this piece focuses more on nature and the constant pressure placed on the earth and humanity for survival.
