Collaboration with Xuyang LianOur campaign "Voice for Abortion Rights" aims to raise awareness about safe abortion services and reduce the stigma surrounding this topic. By presenting abortion as an essential right rather than a controversial issue, we hope to empower young adults aged 18 and above in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) region to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. Our goal is to normalize the conversation around abortion and support individuals seeking access to care.View our exhibition video by clicking the link below!
“Event: VoiceForAbortionRightsTo commemorate International Safe Abortion Day, all Greater Toronto Area universities screened an educational video in the main hall. Different personal stories from women who shared their abortion experiences and the meaning of this abortion experience for them were included in the video.Event details:The campaign begins with a screen that flashes different quotes from different stories on a black background. At the same time, headphones will be available for the audience. As the audience puts on the headphones, walks up to the screen, and touches any of the 'quotes' they are interested in with their hands, the corresponding story audio (self-reported quotes) will play automatically.Through this immersive and interactive nature of the experience, as well as the isolation provided by the headphones. The audience will be able to empathize with the main character of the audio story and thus understand the significance of safe abortion in a woman's life.”
