03 Viridia Eco Lodge

The Viridia project was formed as a semester long project for a strategic branding course. My direction for this project was to create the brand and visual identity for a green hotel.My goal was to create a green hotel brand from start to finish; from generating a brand personality, to providing final applications, as I would with a client. Research on competitors and the target market were documented for use in the brand book, as well as formulating a company profile, choosing appropriate typography and formulating logo safety zones for use in all applications. I chose not to create a modern green hotel, but rather a lodge nestled into a forest where careful consideration was taken to preserve the natural environment and utilize sustainable materials. I imagine Viridia to be a quaint little stay, where the huts are suspended among the trees or along the lake, where people can come to a place of healing and reconnect with their roots in nature.
