This project reflected on a previous performance piece, Ash and Rust (When the Frayed Wind Blows).

“Due to the acetic acid in the vinegar-based ink and the roughness with which I performed the piece, my skin was left dry, irritated, and, in some places, rubbed painfully raw. The rust and ash seeped into the cracks of my skin, illuminating the irregular grid of my stratum corneum.”
