“In "A Gnome Series" I explore the dynamics of narrative, fable, mythology, psychedelia, and lived experience by way of pictorial mixed media artworks in wax crayon and oil paint. The gnome stands as the central metaphor: a calamitous cavalcade of the diminutive denizens engaged in gnomish pursuits and antics excavates and synthesizes aspects of folklore with contemporary and personal symbolism.”
