This project showcases a target-specific AR application which expands a traditional painting (made by artist Nicole Mezzapelli). On the first scan the painting is projected into 3D space expanding the painting's depth past the canvas, this was generated through an Ai image to depth algorithm which uses machine learning to translate 2D images into a 3D mesh. In this initial stage the user is shown the artist and project creators name as well as a play button, this button when clicked projects a 3D diorama of the painting on to the work's surface.
