“App Monsters” is a series of illustrations based on popular apps, with different popular apps illustrated as different monster figures to show how apps have changed the way people live in today's society.

“In this piece, I have constructed a forest scene to depict the impact that social software can have on its users. The roots of each tree are intertwined, just like a social network, passing information and nutrients to each other. Some of the trees are very lush, representing the popular people in the social software, they have a lot of companions and information surrounding them, showing a vibrant appearance, but at the same time, some people are left out for some reasons (such as cyber-violence), their resources are depleted, dying, and at the same time there is no one is willing to give nourishment, and at the same time, reflecting the pros and cons of a situation.”
