“Jewellery and architecture have always been closely related to the relationship between human beings. Jewellery can be regarded as small architecture in miniature. In the sense of architectural jewellery, through the exploration and application of structural construction and materials, its essence removes the sophisticated and cumbersome structural system and functionality of the architecture and retains pure artistic exploration. Architecture starts to decay and loses its meaning without humans, and a piece of jewelry is always incomplete before it is on the body. This project explores the close relationship between architecture, jewellery, and the human body by drawing on Brutalist architecture's design concept to create wearable jewellery. In contrast to the main body of work, the decayed variations express how time erodes things and echo the dramatic historical shift of the image of brutalist architecture, which has transformed from a hopeful utopian representation to a totalitarian and dystopian one.”
