The Brief: Create an annotated bibliography of resources related to the visual and textual history of a chosen topic within art history.
“Cyberfemme: Anthology of Feminist Visual Media in the Age of Digital is an annotated bibliography of resources on feminist agitprop from the 4th wave of feminism. Fourth-wave feminism began around 2012 and is characterized by a focus on the empowerment of women, the use of internet tools, and intersectionality. The design of the zine highlights the digital nature of the content, with graphic shapes that evoke the idea of portals or screens. The use of icons and symbols from wingding alphabets further draw on the visual language of the web. The repetition and stacking of the graphic shapes reflects the concept of intersectionality within 4th wave feminism. Photography is drawn from the work of Lynn Hershman Leeson, an artist whose work focuses on the intersection of women and technology. *Follow link for full case study*”
