2023
Clay, acrylic, wire
An iridescent clay sculpture.
“For this piece, I decided to make an interactive work about conceptual themes and stories surrounding mythical authoritative powers and their roles (stories of Gods and Goddesses and one’s creators), as well as use a medium representative of this concept such as clay and it’s imperfections in tandem to the concept, using it as a “vessel” to carry and hold things. It invites the viewer to browse on a surface level, or a level of vulnerability that is purely up to the viewer.”
Celebrate the work of OCAD U’s class of 2022/2023!
