Scars of the Mind

Sculpture
2025
Bronze

In this work, I explore the invisible traces left by life’s challenges and emotional wounds through the enduring medium of bronze. The work presents a box as a metaphor for the human mind. Its surface is covered in scratches, imprints of fists, and marks of clawing, evoking internal battles and the scars carried through hardship.Within the textured surface, a concave form of a fading face emerges, inviting a moment of reflection: the confrontation with oneself after enduring pain, and the redefinition of one’s being. This piece is a meditation on the memory of wounds on the bruises that, though they may have healed, continue to cast their shadow over the landscape of the mind.
