Aluminum, Glass Testosterone Bottle, Testosterone in Canola Oil
Decay is a continuation of my thesis work in which I used casts of my body to explore the liminal nature of existing as a trans person. The work, made during the beginning of my testosterone use, acts both as a trophy for myself in celebration of a step towards my gender goals, and a statement to the absurdity of medical transition, which often excludes non-binary and gender non-conforming folks from conversations surrounding transition and excludes these people from self determination and bodily autonomy.
