Projected Realities

Projected Realities is an installation that combines traditional oil painting with animated digital projection. Four paintings are mounted on a gallery wall and activated by a projector that maps light, color, and movement onto each painted surface. The animations are designed specifically for each painting, so the projection becomes part of the work rather than sitting on top of it. The result is a dynamic surface that moves between a physical object and an immersive viewing experience. The project explores how projected light can change the mood of a painting in real time while preserving the intimacy and pace of a traditional gallery exhibit.
