“Teddy bears tend to take on a scent over time, and as olfactory senses are closely tied to memory, when a bear is smelled after a long time one may recall specific instances. The specific scents I have chosen are potpourri from my grandmother, cedar chips to emulate a cedar chest that my mother uses and lavender.Each teddy is constructed with some combination of acrylic yarn, polystyrene stuffing, "scent", construction gloves and buttons.”
