I've spent the pandemic locked in with my family, which has given me a lot of time (and not much space) to think about the social transitions trans people undergo on-top of physical transition, and how that impacts our perceptions of self. I've always been the eldest of 5 girls, but since I've transitioned I'm not the eldest daughter anymore, and that means my relationships with my family has changed once again.
