Remodelled remains are series containing wearable art as well as paintings, made with broken and discarded objects.

“I have created 10 objects from found materials and titled them Remodelled Remains. There are elements of nature in these pieces mixed with human made things. Some of them are meant to be displayed on walls, while others are meant to be worn as accessories. The process of creating these pieces was to transform human made objects: plastic forks, bottle caps, incense sticks, jewellery, chains, mesh bags, see-through plastic, and other debris. These things were then juxtaposed or collaged with nature’s objects or in reference to nature: seashells, moss, wood, flower paint, moon water. These pieces were inspired by human activity affecting nature by intertwining our refuse into it. Creating precious art objects is one of the ways I can recycle/remodel unwanted things, giving them new purpose. The “Remains” is referencing the fact that seashells are literal remains of once living beings, as well as referencing the fact that perhaps human made litter will remain long after we are gone as well. I hope to provoke these thoughts in my viewers, but also coat my creations in beauty and give them usefulness.”
