“Through animated embroidery, I explore my diasporic identity. I disseminated criticalities through embroidered Arabic text and the hijab which provides a surface for these narratives. I depict a sense of alienation while living in diaspora by the use of the hijab. This personal material highlights and celebrates my cultural identity as a Muslim woman.”
