Arkadaşlar İyidir confronts the paradox of presence without connection. Through negative space, the work renders the feeling of being cut out of life even while surrounded by others — a hollowness that social proximity cannot fill. The image transfer medium lends the piece a quality of distance, as if the scene is already a memory or a surface that cannot be fully inhabited. The title’s warmth is undercut by the visual silence around it.
