The site used to represent the typical suburban house is my childhood home. I lived in this house for 20 years and watched every room change (some more than once); from repainting the bedrooms to finishing the basement to refinishing the kitchens and bathrooms, my family DIY’d every renovation. The motivation behind the never-ending renovation process was to help the home be more energy-efficient and to keep it up-to-date.Demographics:- Average Household Size: 3 people- Marital Status: 56% Married, 30% Single - Dwelling Type: 24% live in a single-detached house- Private Dwelling: 54% Own, 46% Rent- Period Built: 43% 1961-70, 35% 1971-80- 62% of the population 24-64 have post-secondary education- Average Household Income: $106,670Median Age: 40- 55% of “Children at Home” are over the age of 20 (Retrieved from the City of Mississauga's Applewood Community Profile)
