02. Rose Coloured Roses

I’ve created a sequence of roses, showcasing their beauty alongside their meaning when given to someone. There's a total of 8 different types of roses, 4 with positive stories, 4 with negative ones. The sequence has been done in a pattern, starting with a positive rose. The positive pairs have a bit of a yellow tint, as yellow is the universal colour of happy/good. The top negative images have a pink-ish tint, to symbolize “rose coloured glasses”, as the reason the flowers are being given are to cover for bad behaviour, making the receiver blind to the truth of the situation. The bottom images are in black and white, as the reason is a sad one, with only the flower in colour because it’s the pretty cover that’s distracting them from the truth. The flower stands out more than the writing in the black and white images, which is done intentionally to showcase how the flower distracts from the reality of the situation. The reason why the bottom positive images are in colour all-around is because their meanings are just as visible and beautiful as the flower itself.
