Wizard of Oz Redesign

Based on both the original book and the countless adaptations this story has gone through, here is my version of the 3 characters Glinda, Elphaba and Dorothy, props and Munchkin Village (from left to right).Some keywords for each character in my version: GLINDA: princess, people pleaser, sparkly, plastic, mask, bubbly, cheerful, stars, constellations, ribbons, skinny legend, pink, pastel, glitter, bright.ELPHABA: experimental, edgy, nerd, vibrant, neon, messy, stitched, deconstructed, CMYK, makeshift, slick, chaotic, unique, rebel, confident.DOROTHEA: retrospective/ nostalgic, nerdy, anxious, bookworm, insecure, needs validation, bubbly, creative, loves patterns, routinal, messy, artistic.

“Conceptually, I was thinking what if the world of Oz is sectioned out in parts based on the main material of that part (stone, fabric, wood, and nature/flowers)- and that idea manifests onto both the character design, the prop design and location design as well. ”
