905-455-4636 is an interactive media installation that includes everyday household items and home videos from the late 2000’s, this installation this phone explains both the disconnection one may have felt and the reconnection of cultural and family ties through home videos. 905-455-4636 is the phone number that was once used within this household, now used to prompt the audience to use the phone and go through a media-based journey. Videos include a trip to Guyana, various family vacations and videos simply taken for memories. The household items placed around the phone set a place of nostalgia and comfort for the viewer who also looks towards childhood for answers of identity.
