Foraged from Buckthorn and Wild Grapes growing side-by-side on the shore of Lake Ontario. Wild Grape is classified as a "native" species, while Buckthorn is labeled "invasive". Though their small berries appear very similar to one another, they produce differently hued inks.
“You never know what forms will emerge when you play with ink. By the simple act of abstractly pouring ink and tilting the paper, this figure appeared. It oddly reflects the contemplative mood I was in at the moment.”
