Self-Love

Loving oneself as an abuse survivor and getting rid of the toxic mindset implanted by abusers in one’s mind that they aren’t as worth as everybody else. Creating situations to safely remove a survivor from such abusive situations, even if temporary, and letting them understand who they are apart from their abuser(s) and apart from others. As well as putting them safely into social situations with safe and trusted people in order for them to slowly rebuild the understanding of what love truly is, and the feeling and act of caring with no need to return the favor. By removing the survivor from the abusive situation they begin to relearn basic tools needed to guide them through the abuse to stay relatively ok in bad situations, and also eventually lead them to escaping, and more importantly, having the will and vision to escape in the first place.
