Fear of being surpassed, the desire to maintain dominance and the desire for power. (Kronos & Zeus) Lightning is undoubtedly the symbol of Zeus. The sand, on the other hand, symbolizes the timing sand in the hourglass, representing Kronos, the god of time. This is the battle between father and son for the ruler status. The battle was so intense that even fulgurites formed due to lightning striking the sand.
