Multiplicity I

Colonial legacies have normalized rigid social norms that define 'correct' and 'incorrect' ways of existing based on one’s social variables. Those who fall outside these narrow categories are often seen as inferior or wrong, leading many to internalize this view and suppress parts of themselves. Yet identity is far too complex to fit into a single box; it is fluid, nuanced, and ever-evolving. Recognizing people as multidimensional rather than fixed loosens the pressure to conform and allows space for self-exploration. My pieces “Multiplicity I” and “Multiplicity II” speak to embracing one’s complexity and multiplicity.
