“Not Broken” (2019-2020) is a cast of my back made to appear broken and repaired. Inspired by the Japanese art of ceramics repair- Kintsugi.

““Not Broken” explores the beauty in repair and rebuilding oneself. The gold paint highlights the flaws, accentuating that which we often wish to hide. This is to speak on how trauma shapes us.”
