During WW2, the Japanese army committed acts of cannibalism numerous times. From civilians, prisoners or war, and even soldiers of the American army. They did so less out of necessity but to "create a feeling of camaraderie", "a feeling of victory", and as a psychological tool of power. The Gashadokuro is a Japanese yokai that are 15 times the size of a normal human. They are immensely powerful and terrorize villages.
