Alere - Your Pet Nutrition Guide

Alere is a pet nutrition guidance app designed to help pet owners make informed and personalized feeding decisions for their dogs and cats. Using pet-specific information such as breed, age, weight, activity level, health priorities, and food preferences, Alere uses a rule-based and data-driven system to translate pet and health information into clear and accessible nutrition recommendations tailored to each pet’s needs.The project focuses on simplifying pet nutrition through an intuitive and research-driven user experience, helping owners better understand ingredient quality, overall pet wellness, and navigate the growing pet food market.

“This project was inspired by the growing confusion pet owners face when trying to understand pet nutrition and choose appropriate food products. Many existing resources are overwhelming, inconsistent, or difficult to interpret, leaving owners uncertain about what is truly healthy for their pets.Through user research and UX-focused design, Alere was developed to create a more approachable and personalized pet care experience. The project combines industrial design thinking, digital product design, and visual identity development to create a system that is both functional and emotionally engaging.By integrating clear and accessible content organization, personalized recommendations, and an intuitive interface, Alere aims to help pet owners feel less overwhelmed by the growing pet food market through easy-to-understand nutrition guidance tailored to their pets’ needs.”
