This work will be shown at Ignite Gallery from May 3 - June 9 as part of 2023 Ignite SCIN award showcase. Functioning as a pair of two, It will be accompanied by a duplicate and partially veiled by the gallery's security screen which will remain have closed for the duration of the show. "A moderately sized durable and anonymous volume, the white van is a seemingly indispensable unit of contemporary urban design. At scale these vehicles compose a significant proportion of the mobile architecture that is, at any given moment, swarming every metropolis on the planet in service of the maintenance of everyday life. This pair of duplicate objects take the white van as an elementary parameter through which they are formed and for which they function as a perceptual frame. At 48 In. Wide, each slides in flush with the interior of a Ford Transit - the most ubiquitous line in North America."
