Researches state that female hormonal variations, such as those experienced during pregnancy and after birth, are linked to an increased frequency of depression. Therefore, due to biological factors, women are at a high risk of depression and it is essentially crucial for them to have a place where they can spend some time away from the busy urban life and focus on their mental well-being.On the other hand, building a connection to nature through design solutions will have a considerable positive effect on people's mental health, and the reconnection with nature will enhance people's emotional and phycological wellbeing. Thus, I aimed to create a calm and relaxing environment for women to restore their minds and expedite their healing process by offering indoor-outdoor connections and rebuilding the relationship with nature.
“This project focuses on both interior design and architecture to create a healing and meditation centre that provides a calm and relaxing environment for women to improve their mental well-being in a protective environment.”
