This piece was the first one of a long series, where my focus stopped being centered in realism as it did when I was learning traditional oil painting in Mexico. I have been exploring imaginary spaces- almost sanctuaries- through painting. After a few years, I can see a process of self-healing.. this piece shows a more chaotic state of myself and my practice.
