FLIGHT

FLIGHT is an emergency light fixture that is placed in parks to make people aware of harmful situations that may be happening around the park. The butterflies on the lamp fixture are pins that people walking in parks can pin onto their chests and walk with until they reach the end of their walk. The butterflies have a circuit that work as the emergency alarm by the user pressing the button and turning on the red LED light inside the butterfly. Once this button is pressed the nearest lamp in the area to the person turns red. This is used as a visual indicator to the rest of the people in the park, letting them know where the situation is happening.The lamp design is an abstract form of a flower having its petals surrounding an eye. The representation of this figure is to advise pedestrians to keep their eyes open and be aware of their surroundings in the area they are in. In the event of an emergency, pedestrians need to be ready to push the button to inform authorities of the situation or be notified by others in the park of an urgent situation by noticing the change of their pin's change in colour to red and locating the bright, red lamp fixture.
