This piece came to me whilst I was headed to Dufferin Mall via TTC Streetcar on December 12th 2024, we passed an empty laundromat and the image of this piece flashed in my mind. After I sketched out the idea I grabbed the largest stretcher bars I had in my possession and begun to construct my panel. It was a fantastic coincidence that my actual washing machine is the exact same size as the support I had made. A beautiful coincidence, I live for coincidences such as this.Recently I decided to expand the piece depth-wise, adding 9.5”, giving more of an illusion to the piece.
