Sockful of Sunshine

I saturated four white ankle socks using SolarFast UV-sensitive dye, then walked around outside while wearing them, picking up leaves, dirt, sticks, and debris. The socks were exposed to UV light with the debris still attached, creating natural impressions of the outdoors. The dirtiest parts of the socks appear the cleanest because sunlight couldn't penetrate the grime to expose the SolarFast underneath it.Using leftover film negatives from analogue photography classes, I transferred images of the outdoors onto wooden clothespins. While the images aren't stark, there are light impressions of a gate, hanging plant, and recycling bins.
