Battlefield is a time-based media piece collaged from two images; the foreground being an image I took myself back in 2016 of Antonio Canova's "Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss" and the background image being Hiromichi Matsuda's photograph "Mushroom Cloud" from 1945. Sound composition by myself using Native Instruments and Logic Pro.

“When one thinks of a battlefield, words may come to mind like, destruction, war, terror, violence. So why is love often compared to a battlefield? Love is tender and kind. Love is everything that hate is not. But one simply cannot exist without the other. My piece, "Battlefield" is an exploration of the middle ground for love and hate. To feel extreme love, one can only know once they have also experienced hate and vice versa. I have placed Psyche and Cupid in a war scene and both images glitch out of place to represent the chaos that is both love and hate. ”
