Nowadays, there are still many abandoned industrial buildings along the shoreline of Lake Ontario that act as an edge between the city and lake Ontario. However, there is a similar sense of boundary between people who are preoccupied with mobile phones and other electronic products in today's society. Furthermore, with the rapid development of cities, the problem of environmental pollution has gradually emerged, which is a problem that needs to be paid attention to. Especially the pollution in Lake Ontario needs to be taken seriously. My project will preserve the original appearance of the historic building to the greatest extent and be influenced by the hive mentality in its structure. The "Hive mind" is Collective consciousness. Because of the colony structure of bees, each individual has his own job in the hive, which spontaneously sustains the whole hive. The hive is like a whole, gathering the thoughts of each individual.

“ As a Waterfront cultural and exhibition center, this project aims to create a new community beacon, reduce the sense of boundaries, and enhance interaction between the various realms while preserving historic heritage by repurposing abandoned industrial buildings into sustainable treasures.”
