The process of healing and being open again to the idea of sexual pleasure (post-trauma/assault).
“The calla lily stages of growth represent a position from closed-off, to being open once again. In this representation, the calla lily flora and bud purposefully resembles the anatomy of the female vulva. The golden figure (bud), is ready with open arms to embrace new relationships, trust, and pleasure, but still has cautious thorns as her barrier of protection.”
