Empowerment Through Movement

Showing the conflict between femininity and the over-sexualization of the female body, I used the horse as a symbol of power and an aid for the female figure to fight against it.

“By reflecting upon Audre Lorde's theory of the "Erotic Power" and the over-sexualization of the female body, I decided to make this painting with two of my current figures, which are the female body and horses, to portray the battle between the patriarchal values and female empowerment. ”
