The Calm in The Chaos

This capstone image depicts a couple whose connection seemingly illuminates light, protecting them from the textured background of violent brushstrokes. The drama that ensues from the chaotic background symbolizes unpredictable and negative outside forces that take place all around the couple; and yet, love conquers all.

““Love Conquers All” explores the paradox of love blooming during war. This series of images emphasize the visual poetry that comes forward as a result of placing elements of love and war in juxtaposition. Stories of love thriving in a time of war are visually interpreted to explore the resilience of love and the need for love to conquer hate to preserve our humanity.”
