Larger and better spaces for abuse survivors are needed due to the nature of abuse shelters being overpacked and often abusive themselves. Building these community accessible spaces by being vocal and raising money for those in need to ensure they remain in safety. As well as having survivors be the ones in charge to ensure that the spaces will remain accessible and safe for all. Transitional workshops and access to affordable housing, and ultimately, permanent housing, is required in addition to safe injection sites and easy access to water and bathroom facilities.
