"Intimate" Love?

This series is a performance about how we have been kidnaped, tortured, and hurt by our partners in the name of love in a toxic intimate relationship. The body paints of "爱" is Chinese and it means love.

“The inspiration for this series comes from my personal intimate experience of love. Love is a complex subject of rationality and sensibility, and being trapped in an unhealthy intimate relationship has smoothed all my sharp edges, and taken away my freedom, and self-identity. All the damage done in the name of love is like a soldering iron, imprinted on every corner of my body.”
