An animated story of appreciating friends, family and my partner told through my answer to the question “What would you do if the world was ending?”
“The End of the World is a single-channel comedic 2D animation about my answer to the question: “What would you do if the world was ending?” The film explores themes of love through a story narrated by a sincere monologue contrasted with a variety of end-of-the-world scenarios occurring in the background. The film also acts as a thank-you letter to loved ones, showing appreciation to those who made my life as precious as it is today. The End of the World’s aesthetic is a very flat and cartoony artstyle. The animation is filled with an array of bright and saturated colours to highlight how beautiful the world truly is when you take time to realize all the little details. Musically, the film is inspired by the soundtrack of Florence, composed by Kevin Penkin, The End of the World’s score follows a similar peaceful but exciting melody. The goal for my project is to remind people to cherish the small memories you make with the people you love. You will never know what may happen or when the world will cave in, so with every moment you have it's important to laugh, smile and appreciate your loved ones.”
