2022
Home is a proposed theme and visual identity for the International Graphic Design Festival. This “Snap Project” involved students being paired up, then assigned an event and a list of deliverables to be completed in 48 hours. While the assignment was submitted in pairs, all the content presented here is made 100% by me. I have not included the work done by my lovely partner to avoid confusion. The reason why I chose the theme of Home is because it’s a theme that would be understood all over the globe. At the same time, the idea of Home pertains to many relevant issues such as:– COVID-19 and staying home– Homeless crisis and lack of affordable housing– Immigration, war, refugee, displacement, and sense of home – LGBTQ youth often being kicked out of homes– Mother Earth as home and the environmental crisis– Finding home in digital spacesThere are many relevant ways to interpret this theme, but ultimately the graphic designs exhibited at the festival should answer: What does ‘Home’ really mean?To see the full project, please visitseijiwilliams.ca/home(Link Below)
