Island in Algoma

"Island in Algoma" is a painting on an irregular shaped wood slab. The shape of the wood compliments the scenery and the natural colour palette promotes a sense of realism and serenity. The detail depicted in the rock face and trees symbolize critical attention to detail and promotes a unique way to represent the landscape. The lake is calm and the sky is clear, reinforcing a calm environment. The wood bark adds intrigue and acts as a natural frame.
