“Journey to the East is a graphic novel that follows the adventure of Dalis and Lita as they travel to the east to obtain a source of power they once possessed. Chapter one illustrates the encounter of the two main characters Dalis and Lita and the start of their journey. The graphic novel acts as a documentation or a journal of their journey with mundane and humdrum depictions of their experiences. The cumulation of these mundane scenes will develop an “unwittingly progressive” narrative experience. This way of narrative may make the reader feel that the story is progressing unforcefully or even unnoticeably until they have reached a certain point in the story.
