Thesis - "Here I am"

"Here I am" is a series of coloured illustrations that reveals little-known facts about people with the genetic condition of Down Syndrome. Inspired by my little brother’s life and the lives of celebrity personalities with this condition, I depict a variety of journeys, both “ordinary” and extraordinary, that people with Trisomy 21 are capable of taking on. This project shows that Down Syndrome lives are worth living, and that people with this condition occupy a valuable place in our world.
