Hello there! My name is Ariana and I will be graduating from the Environmental Design: Interior Design Specialization program. I am an aspiring architect with extensive design knowledge from OCAD University. I am also passionate about foresight mapping and how various diagramming tools can be applied in my design work. I am detail-oriented and aesthetically driven, as I strive to create accessible designs, influenced by my experiences as a deaf individual. My design philosophy is rooted in the exploration of unheard stories and marginalized voices. I see architecture not just as a physical space, but as a medium for storytelling specifically ones that can amplify narratives that are often silenced or overlooked. My work is informed by lived experience, where the built environment has frequently failed to consider accessibility as a fundamental principle rather than an afterthought.I am drawn to designing spaces that challenge normative frameworks and center inclusive, multi-sensory engagement. By interrogating who a space is designed for, and who it excludes, I seek to create architecture that is empathetic, equitable, and responsive. Through my designs, I strive to transform infrastructure into a vessel for connection, communication, and dignity, especially for those whose needs and stories have long been ignored in traditional architectural discourse.
