“The Pandemic Moments is a collection of graphite portrait drawings on paper featuring the concept of how my surroundings and I respond to COVID-19. I depict the moments of crisis in a realistic way through detailed close-ups of different faces as if we are looking at ourselves in the mirror.”

Eunseo Sung is an artist living in Toronto, Canada. She was born in Seoul, South Korea. She belongs to the community of student artists at OCAD University in the Bachelor of Fine arts program (Drawing and Painting).She aims to produce portrait drawings of her surroundings using a dramatic lighting source to create a cinematic style to the overall composition using various mediums such as graphite, charcoals, soft pastels, oil pastels, inks and mixed media.She is ambitious in capturing emotions in her artworks so that her portrait can transmit a specific feeling to the viewers. Through her practice, she is learning to develop her style of drawings through exploring her memories, experiences, and emotions as concepts.
